Crogl 2.12.0 Release Notes

Crogl 2.12.0 expands the crogl CLI, adds connector package management in the product, exports whole chats, and adds the Claude 5 and GPT-6 models. All timestamps are now epoch milliseconds.

Before you upgrade

This upgrade converts your database on first start, and the earlier version cannot read it afterward. Some CLI commands are renamed with no aliases.

  • Take a database backup, along with the files and secrets your backup procedure names, and keep it until you have verified the upgrade.
  • Upgrade the server and every crogl CLI in the same maintenance window.
  • If the migration fails, Crogl stops before changing the database. Collect the timestamp migration: error from the startup output and contact support before retrying.
  • To roll back, restore the database and files from backup, then start the earlier version.

What's New

  • More of the product in the CLI. New commands cover attachments, stopping a running turn, connector probes, resource profiles, feature flags, and host health. crogl whoami shows what Crogl grants your session.
  • Credentials out of shell history. Commands that take a credential accept --value-file, and set-secret accepts --value-stdin.
  • Validate a connector package. crogl validate-connector-package runs the import checks on your server without importing.
  • Replace an imported connector package. Administrators can update a package in place. Existing connections keep their settings.
  • Remove an imported connector. Administrators can remove an imported connector from the catalog after deleting its connections.
  • Export a whole chat. Export a conversation as PDF or Markdown, including tool activity and delegated work.
  • Copy full values. Copy the full value behind any list entry without opening the record.
  • Investigation IDs. The Investigations list shows each report's ID.
  • Claude 5 and GPT-6. Recommended models now include Claude Opus 5.5, Opus 5, Sonnet 5.5, and Sonnet 5, and GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna, and GPT-6 Astra. The upgrade keeps your current model.
  • Critical host alerts. Administrators are alerted when CPU, memory, or a filesystem turns critical. Warnings stay on the dashboard.
  • More consistent alert investigations. The alert-investigation skill follows a more consistent method, and the record reflects each step it took.
  • Support portal. Open a ticket at https://support.crogl.com.

Fixes

  • Upgrading a 2.9.0 or earlier install with --preserve keeps the CLI able to reach the server.
  • When you start or cancel a job run and the database is out of storage, Crogl's error now says so.

Under the hood

  • Knowledge-graph learning completes on large Splunk and Jira deployments.
  • Dependencies are updated with current security patches.

Timestamps as epoch milliseconds

Every timestamp in the REST API, MCP tools, and CLI JSON output is now an integer count of milliseconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z. For example, "2026-07-08T14:32:07Z" becomes 1783521127000.

  • Filters take the same integer, for example created_at=[ge]1782864000000.
  • Pagination cursors from before the upgrade are rejected. Restart the listing from the first page.
  • On /api/v1/whoami, expiresAt and issuedAt (seconds) become expires_at and issued_at (milliseconds).
  • Dates in the UI and reports look the same.

If you wrote your own connector scripts: Crogl replaces its helper files under scripts/_lib on first start, including modified copies. Files you added are untouched. These contracts now use integer milliseconds:

  • ticket_created_at on the create_investigation MCP tool
  • created_from, created_to, and each returned ticket's ticket_created_at and analyzed_at on the list_analyzed_tickets MCP tool
  • A report's generatedAt and each timeline entry's start and end
  • created and analyzed_at on ticket rows normalized for the dashboard

investigated_ticket.to_rfc3339 and RFC 3339 input to dashboardcmds.read_analyzed_tickets still work but are deprecated. Use investigated_ticket.to_epoch_ms and integer milliseconds.
